Who made Promotional Cars?

These cars were promotional giveaways at automobile dealerships across the country in the 1950's and 1960's.

The first company was the Power Car Company in Mystic Conn. The first car they produced was the 1955 T-Bird Jr. They continued to make cars into the late 1960's.

The next company was the Silvestri Art Company in Chicago IL. They produced the 1956 Pontiac Star Chief Jr. under contract with Pontiac Motor Division.

The last company that we are aware of is the Barry Toycraft Company a division of ST. Paul Corrugating Company in St Paul Minn.

Other companies include the Hamilton Company and the Donaldson Toy Company.
